Day 01: Arrival Chennai/Mahabalipuram {75 Km / 1 ½ Hrs}
On your arrival at Chennai, international airport, welcome by our representative & you will be transferred to Mamallapuram, upon arrival check in at Hotel for 02 nights.
Mamallapuram {Mahabalipuram} situated on the shores of the Bay of Bengal, was once a port of the Pallavas. The Pallavas have created many marvellous monuments, caves, monolithic Rathas and Temples. Over night stay in Mahabalipuram.
Day 02: Mahabalipuram
Today morning you will set out to visit the Arjuna's Penance. This skillfully carved rock is the largest bas-relief sculpture in the world. This sculpture derived its name from Arjuna, the hero of Mahabharata, who performed a penance to obtain a boon from Lord Siva. After visiting the Arjuna's Penance we visit the Five Rathas, also known as the Pancha Pandava Rathas. There are five monolithic temples, each created in different style. Four of the Rathas are supposed to have scooped out of a single rock formation. In the evening we visit the Shore Temple. This temple is one of the oldest temples in South India. It belongs to the 8th Century AD and is a good example of the first phase of structural temples constructed in Dravidian style.

Day 03: Mahabalipuram / Thanjavur {250 km / 06 hrs}
Morning set out to drive through the tropical mountains to Chidambaram. Chidambaram lies on the north edge of the Coleroon River. In Chidambaram, visit the Natraja Temple which is dedicated to the dancing Lord Shiva, a famous Hindu deity of the Chola Kings. On the way to Tanjore we have a stop over in Kumbakonam. Kumbakonam is famous for its 18 temples in the town centre. The city Tanjore (Thanjavur) is our last destination today. Tanjore was the capital of great chola empire who built more than 70 temples between 10th and 14th century. Later visit one of the world heritage monuments, Brihasdisvara Temple (11th century), which is also known as big temple. As you near the inner shrine of the temple, you will encounter India's second largest statue of nandi, the mount of lord Shiva. Also visit the saraswati mahal library, the Schwartz church built in 1779, and the Shiva ganja tank, known for its sweet water

Day 04: Thanjavur / Madurai via Trichy {188 km / 06 hrs}
Morning drive to Madurai on route visiting Trichy, the land near the delta is very fertile and productive. This town Trichy is so ancient that it was mentioned by Ptolemy in the 2nd century BC by Alexandrian geographer. Here you will climb up the stairs to the famous Rock Fort which was built on 84 m high rock in the centre of town in about 1660. You will also visit a Shiva and Ganesha temple and enjoy a wonderful view of the surroundings from the top.
After visiting continue drive to Madurai, upon arrival check in at hotel for 01 night and afterwards have a walk through the bazaars of this 2500 years old town.

Day 05: Madurai / Thekkady {160 km / 04 hrs}
Madurai situated on the bank of river Vaigai is also referred to as the Athens of the East. Madurai has the most outstanding examples of Vijayanagar temple architecture in the Minakshi Temple, a standing monument to the temple builders of the 16th and 17th century. Morning we will spend enough time in Minakshi Temple and then visit Tirumalai Nayaka Palace. This palace was built in the 1636 and represents the Indo-Mughal style and Gandhi Museum. In Gandhi Museum we get the information about the life of Gandhi and freedom movement during the presence of British in India.
Later drive to Periyar (also known as Thekkady). The name comes from the Periyar dam, here by the British in 1895 was created. The Wildlife Reserve is an ideal place for wild animals like elephants, Detect bison, deer and many species of exotic birds. The landscape here is very tropical and you will meet on tea and coffee plantations and spice gardens. Upon arrival, check in at Hotel for 02 nights. Over night stay in Periyar.
Day 06: Thekkady
Morning at 6:30 am set out to enjoy a very popular boat ride on the Periyar Lake and observe the activities of elephants, tiger, bison, wild oxen, wild boar, spotted deer and the local golden langur monkeys live only in this part of India. Return to the hotel at 10.00 clocks. After brief refreshment and later we will take place at 14:00 on a guided elephant safari, which will give a unique experience, seated a top an elephant along rides in to the spice plantation to get the good views of valleys and mountains of a plantation near place, where different types of spices and other aromatic plants are planted. An hour programmed of safari including elephant bath, feeding and Photo session, Commands and communication. At Opportunity you are invited to visit a tea factory nearby.

Day 07: Thekkady / Kumarkom {80 km / 02 hrs}
Morning drive to Kumarkom and check in at Hotel, for 01 night. The panoramic backwaters here offer an ideal retreat to enjoy nature at its best. The village of Kumarakom is a cluster of little islands on the Vembanad Lake, and this small water world is part of the Kuttanad region. Afternoon visit the bird sanctuary here, which is spread across 14 acres, is a favorite haunt of migratory birds and an ornithologist's paradise. Egrets, darters, herons, teal, waterfowl, cuckoo, wild duck and migratory birds like the Siberian stork that live there in flocks are a fascination for visitors. The best way to watch the birds of the Kumarokom sanctuary is a boat trip round the islands. An enchanting backwater destination, Kumarokom offers visitors many other leisure options. Boating and fishing facilities are available at Kumarokom. An unbelievably beautiful paradise of mangrove forests, emerald green paddy fields and coconut groves interspersed with enchanting waterways and canals adorned with while lilies - this is Kumarokom. Day 08: Kumarkom / Cochin {80 km / 03 hrs}
Morning drive to Cochin, upon arrival checks in at hotel for 02 nights. Evening by 1700 hrs enjoy a show of the Kath kali dance and enjoy the history of this city, this dance is characterized by grotesque gestures, amazing costumes and very elaborate makeup. Stories of the Gods are mostly from the Ramayana and Mahabharata epics and total entertainment. At the show there are 2 drummers and one or more than two dancers who are dressed beautifully and dance with grace. These dancers depict the stories of the mythological themes and their job is visual dance, moves and making gestures with their hands and faces.

Day 09: Cochin
Morning set out to enjoy a guided City tour of Cochin - the "Dutch Palace in Mattancherry known for its intricate wall paintings. The Jewish synagogue is located in the heart "of the City of ‘’Jews ". In addition, there is the church of St. Francis, the oldest European church in India. We continue to the Basilica built by the Portuguese in 1557 and Santa Cruz traditional spice market, which is found in the narrow streets of the city. Later you will have a sightseeing tour of The Chinese fishing nets at Fort Kochi; they are fixed land installations, which are used for a very unique and unusual method of fishing. Operated from the shore, these nets are set up on bamboo and teak poles and held horizontally by huge mechanisms, which lower them into the sea. They look somewhat like hammocks and are counter-weighed by large stones tied to ropes. If you like to eat fish, then you can buy very fresh fish and these can be prepared in one of the nearby restaurants.

Day 10: Cochin / Alleppey {56 km / 02 hrs}
Morning drive to Alleppey, the coastal town on the Arabian Sea is known as the Venice of the East and famous for the numerous backwater canals that meander through the town. This town holds a thrilling event of snake boat race every year during August. It is also known for its cashew nuts. Upon arrival, check in at hotel for 01 night. Later you will board in a boat {Canoe} of Kerala style and enjoy the boat ride through the backwaters. The backwaters in Alleppey, houses a variety of fauna, flora and marine life. On the way you will see various local activities of the people living along the backwaters and also visit some of the tourist places on the way. Boating is the fabulous way to explore the fascinating beauty of the backwaters in Alleppey.

Day 11: Alleppey / Varkala {105 km / 03 hrs}
Today you will drive down to Varkala in the morning and check in at the hotel for 03 nights.
Varkala is a coastal town and municipality in Thiruvananthapuram district situated in the Indian state of Kerala. It is located 51 kilometers (approx. 32 miles) north-west of Thiruvananthapuram Varkala is the only place in southern Kerala where cliffs are found adjacent to the Arabian Sea. These tertiary sedimentary formation cliffs are a unique geological feature on the otherwise flat Kerala coast, and are known among geologists as Varkala Formation and a geological monument as declared by the Geological Survey of India. There are numerous water spouts and spas on the sides of these cliffs. Rest of the day will be on leisure.

Day 12: Varkala
Varkala boasts of having a clean, tranquil beach. The view from the top of the surrounding cliffs simply amazes the tourists. After visiting the beach, you can proceed to see other places of interest, like the Portugese Church of Anjengo, the Sivagiri Mutt and so on. Also Varkala is remained a significant Hindu pilgrimage center since the 12th Century. See the famous 800 year-old Janardhana temple here. Over night stay in Varkala.
Day 13: : Varkala
Day is free on own to relax and enjoy the Beach of Varkala.
Day 14: Varkala / Cochin {180 km / 04 ½ hrs}
Today you will be transferred to Cochin airport to board in flight for your onward journey.
